About Us
About Wellnessia
Why this blog exists
Most health advice online falls into two camps: dense medical jargon written for other doctors, or breezy lifestyle content that sounds nice but doesn't hold up when you check the source. Wellnessia sits in between. We read the studies, the guidelines, and the expert consensus — then write it the way we'd explain it to a friend who just wants a straight answer.
We started this blog because we were tired of googling a simple question, like how much protein you actually need or whether a supplement is worth the money, and getting ten different answers from ten different blogs, most of them copying each other. So we built the resource we wished existed: guides on nutrition, fitness, mental wellness, and everyday healthy living that tell you why, not just what.
What "evidence-based" actually means here
It's an easy phrase to throw around, so here's what it means in practice on this site:
- We check claims against peer-reviewed research, public health guidelines (like those from the WHO, NIH, or CDC), and recognized experts in the field — not just what's trending.
- When the science is settled, we say so plainly. When it's mixed or still evolving, we say that too, instead of pretending there's a clean answer.
- We link to our sources so you can go read the original research yourself if you want to.
- We update articles when new evidence comes out, rather than leaving outdated advice sitting on the page.
We're not doctors, and nothing here replaces a conversation with your own healthcare provider. Think of Wellnessia as a well-researched starting point — the article you read before you talk to your doctor, so you can ask better questions.
What you'll find here
- Nutrition — food science explained simply, meal ideas, and honest looks at diet trends
- Fitness — training guides and recovery tips that work for real schedules, not just influencers'
- Mental wellness — practical, non-preachy ways to manage stress, sleep, and everyday mental load
- Healthy lifestyle — small, sustainable habits, not extreme overnight overhauls
Who's behind it
Wellnessia is written and maintained by [a small team / one person — fill in your actual story here] who cares more about getting things right than being first to publish. We're a young blog, still growing, and we'd rather build slowly with content people trust than pump out generic posts for the sake of volume.
A quick note on how we make money
If this blog ever includes ads or affiliate links, it won't change what we recommend. We're not interested in pushing a product because it pays better — a recommendation from us means we'd actually suggest it to a friend.
